I got into the mortgage business in a strange way. I have a degree in Hospitality Administration and a minor in business and was happy in the restaurant and hotel management industry. However, I decided to go into the business after my mother purchased her first home at 50 years old and had a terrible experience. I trusted a referral from a friend to assist my mother in her home purchase. This was a mistake. She was placed on a two-year adjustable-rate mortgage with a three-year pre-pay and was charged 2.500 points. That's when I started researching the mortgage world and made a move to work in the industry within a few months. My mother's poor experience is why I lead my clients with education. I want to make a difference with homeownership in the Twin Cities
